Crowne Plaza Alice Springs

Project Background
The Crowne Plaza Hotel, is located in the Lasseters Casino and Conference Centre in Alice Springs, NT. The project included the complete refurbishment of 139 guestrooms and bathrooms in a live operating environment. Significant fire life safety upgrades were also completed at the hotel as part of the project.

Travelodge Bankstown New Rooms

Project Background
The Hotel tower is located within the Bankstown Sports Club in Bankstown CBD. The project involved the addition of four floors on the existing hotel tower increasing the Hotel inventory by 108 guestrooms.

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney Gymnasium

Project Background
The Fullerton Hotel Sydney is located at No. 1 Martin Place. The project involved the repurposing of unused space in the Heritage wing of the Hotel. The building has state significant heritage listing and strict heritage constraints had to be incorporated into the design and execution of the works.

Manly Wharf Restaurants

Project Background
Manly Wharf is the iconic gateway to Manly and it has been transformed into a dining and shopping destination. RK PM were engaged in 2016 to complete the development of a second story to the wharf building to house two large scale restaurants. The project presented strict environmental and heritage constraints that had to be incorporated into the design to achieve compliance. Heavy construction works had to be planned around existing tenants within a live operating environment.
The design incorporated complex structural reconfiguration of post tensioned elements within the existing building as well as strict height limitations to the new roof line which presented the architect with the challenge to take advantage and maximise the exposure to this unique harbour front location.

Travelodge Blacktown Modular Expansion

Project Background
The Travelodge Blacktown Hotel is located within the Workers Club site in Blacktown NSW. RK PM were engaged to carry out the feasibility, design, procurement and delivery of the modular expansion of the hotel.
The modules were delivered to site complete with fully fitted out bathrooms, kitchenettes and guestroom joinery and were erected in 3 days. Services connections, corridors, façade and roof were completed in the subsequent two months reducing the overall time on site from 9 months to 4 significantly mitigating disruptions to the hotel operations.

International Grammar School Library Project

Project Background
The International Grammar School is located at Ultimo only moments from Sydney CBD. As part of a broader master plan to continue to expand and enhance the learning and community spaces within the IGS campus, the Bibliotheque (Library) project consist of the expansion of the library foot print and the refurbishment and repurposing of existing space within the Reg St Leon Building. The Bibliotheque will become a landmark library, learning and research centre for all student levels and the broader school community.
As part of the project, the adjoining Colleagues lounge will be fully refurbished and expanded as a flexible space to cater for all IGS staff needs and also to open out onto the new Bibliotheque space and become a multipurpose space for special functions and events when the library is not in use.

International Grammar School Centre for the Dramatic Arts

Project Background
The International Grammar School is located at Ultimo only moments from Sydney CBD. As part of a broader master plan to continue to expand and enhance the learning and community spaces within the IGS campus, The Centre for Dramatic Arts project consists of the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing space in the Wright Building on levels 3 and 4. The project also involves the expansion of the footprint and roof to accommodate a new back stage space. The new theatre on level 4 will have the capacity to serve as a lecture hall, drama workshop and a performance stage with capacity for 100+ students.
As part of the project, the existing heritage trusses will be replaced with slender steel portal frames to substantially improve the sightlines from all levels of seating.

63 Britton St Smithfield NSW – Industrial Development

Project Background
The Client was left with a dated and heavily customized configuration of an industrial asset untenable to the market following the end of term on the lease. The asset needed to be fully repositioned before it could be taken to the market. The project involved the complete strip out of redundant infrastructure, full refurbishment of 1,700m2 of office space, repurposing of 15,000m2 of warehouse space, full upgrade of the fire protection system, new façades and landscape.

Travelodge Bankstown Room Refurbishment

Project Background
The Hotel tower is located within the Bankstown Sports Club in Bankstown CBD. The project was part of the “Travelodge Refresh” refresh rollout programme for a portfolio of hotels. 108 guestrooms were refurbished in 8 weeks in a fully Hotel and Club operational environment.
The Travelodge Refresh Program incorporated cost effective smart design changes that maximised improvement to the guest experience whilst minimising disruptions to the Hotel operation maximising return on investment.
The project was delivered seamlessly across 4 stages whilst the hotel remained fully operational with limited disruption to the Hotel business.

Travelodge Sydney Lobby Refurbishment

Project Background
Travelodge Sydney is located on the corner of Wentworth Ave and Commonwealth St. The Hotel is comprised of 417 guestrooms and runs at high occupancy year round creating challenges for the Hotel managing large amounts of guests during busy check in and check out periods. The project involved the expansion and full refurbishment of the reception lobby space to enhance the guest arrival experience by adding additional check in/out stations and new functional seating spaces.
The project also included a complete revamp of the back of house administration space.
